Important: Some manufacturers use the same fridge model number for fridges supplied with both internal and external filter systems, please make sure that your fridge uses an Internal water filter before ordering this item.
Installation and replacement procedure for the 7005017 fridge water filter:
- Lift the grille assembly.
- Push the old water filter in until it clicks.
- Pull the filter straight out and discard.
- Remove the protective cover from new filter.
- Line up the new filter so the locking tabs can be inserted into the filter head.
- Push the new filter into the position until it clicks into the place.
- Run water through the dispenser for 2 minutes to purge the system. Note: For non-dispensor models, the first two buckets of ice produced should be discarded.
- Reset the "change filter" indicator light by pressing and holding the Filter Reset button for 5 seconds.
When to change a filter: The filter cartridge should be replaced when the replacement indicator light comes on, or every 12 months, or when the ice cubes become hollow or smaller, or if you notice a decrease in flow of water.
Important: It is essential that operation, maintenance and filter replacement be carried out in accordance with manufacture's recommended procedures and guidelines for this product to perform as advertised. Failure to do so may void warranty.
